Enrolling in a snow class is the quickest way to learn to ski or snowboard. You will find it a crucial confidence-builder when learning together with other members of the same ability.

SKILEB.com has made arrangements with qualified ski and snowboard instructors in Mzaar (ex Faraya Mzaar) and the Cedars resorts who can teach first-timers, intermediates, and advanced boarders and skiers. The concept is to build individuals skill and confidence while gradually riding more and more slopes and overcoming intially -feared restrictions. Major improvements during a course will concentrate on carving techniques and control.

Private lessons

During private, instructors will concentrate on your individual requirements and take the time to diagnose where you need improvement. You will be amazed to see that even 2 or 3 hours of private teaching will give you a big boost and provide ideas on how to develop your skills. Such lessons are particularly useful for beginners and those who don't find themselves improving or who stopped progressing. During the courses each members is also monitored from an individual angle due to the fact that each 'student' has different strengths and weaknesses that need to be addressed.

Group lessons

Group lessons are provided mainly for children looking to enjoy a full day with others of the same age and level. Groups of up to 8 children are formed in the morning after testing the skill of each person. Lessons are provided by qualified instructors who speak English, French and Arabic. The session starts at 9AM at the Wardeh domain of the Mzaar resort or we can have the instructor pick up the child from a neighboring hotel if you are staying within the ski resort.

Lessons for kids

Children from around 5 years old are accepted. Teaching take another aspect here and is provided through games aimed at making them feel entertained by using their equipment and getting the snow feeling. With time, children will progress to learn snow ploughing, then making continuous turns on gentle downhill runs. Out teaching methods for children involve basic explanation with more emphasis put on copying the steps and movements of their instructor. Amazingly, children's skiing develops directly from the snow plough exercise to making parallel turns simply due to progressive speed increase and narrowing down of the skis tips.
