LOCATION

The snowy peaks of Mount Lebanon await you with their 80 Km of sun-drenched skiing trails. This is the home of The InterContinental Mzaar Resort & Spa, the only 5 stars hotel in the region, located at less than an hour drive from Beirut. Nestled between sky, mountains and sea, it is surrounded by a dazzling palette of leisure and archaeological sites. The Mzaar InterContinental is a palace of excitement when it comes to ski pleasures, but it also offers year-round indoor and outdoor activities. From its famous spa to its international cuisine and the late night entertainment at the in-house and nearby clubs, The InterContinental hotel cannot disappoint.

ROOMS

There are 131 rooms and suites, all of which have amazing views of the surrounding area. The rooms are wrapped with the warmth of wood and decorated in an alpine-chalets style. When booking online choose among the three types of rooms: 

Standard Rooms - These elegant 30 sqm rooms are ideal for both the business traveler and the leisure guest. All the standard rooms have the modern facilities any traveler now expects – including internet access and a safe box.

Deluxe Rooms - The 85 Deluxe rooms are lodged in the upper floors and benefit from a garden and a view of the Ouyoun el Simane’s mountains. Larger than the standard room, they can more easily accommodate an additional bed.

Loft Rooms - Enjoy a different atmosphere with the loft rooms located at the top sixth floor. Starting at 30 sqm, the rooms have high and slanted chalet-style ceiling.

Family Studio - specifically designed for families wishing to stay in one room. It is a large room equipped with one large bed and one sofa bed with the possibility to add up to one extra bed accommodating a total of 4.

Ski lift tickets booked online do not cover the intermediate slope connected to the hotel. If you wish to book those tickets, make sure to mention it in the additional request box when booking online, otherwise, you will need to take the shuttle to the Jonction counter to get your tickets.

Minimum Length of Stay for 2008/2009:
- MLS 2 nights on Christmas Dec 24 till Dec 26
- MLS 6 nights on New Year Dec 26 till Jan 1st (A supplement of $220 per person on the night of December 31st will be applicable and it will include the New Year’s Eve Gala Dinner at one of the outlets)
- MLS 3 nights on Saint Maroun Feb 6 till Feb 9
- MLS 4 nights on Green Monday Feb 26 till Mar 2nd
- MLS 2 nights on week-ends for Friday and Saturday nights. It can be moved to Thursday and Friday nights or Saturday and Sunday nights but in this case both nights will be charged at week-end.

RESTAURANTS & BARS

One of the attractions of the resort is the large variety of its cuisine, ranging from the international to the local. The InterContinental Mzaar’s fine dining experiences as well as its casual buffets leave you with a wide choice to suit your mood.

Le Refuge – Enjoy any time of the day the typical mountain cuisine at this restaurant while watching the skiers from the comfort of the terrace. Experience an eclectic menu featuring alpine specialties such as the traditional Raclette and Fondue.

Les Airelles - International dishes are served in a relaxed and intimate atmosphere at this chic restaurant.  Les Airelles is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Gaucho’s – Time to discover the steakhouse atmosphere at the Gaucho’s. Casual dining dominates a menu peppered with favorites like the typical Brazilian Churrasco and the south American Plancha. Enjoy the meats seasoned to perfection and slowly-roasted over open flame.

La Tavola – La Tavola offers hearty Italian favorites along with other creative specialties. The restaurant is located outside the hotel. It has captured the neighborhood feel of an Italian eatery, but diners can also enjoy an unhindered view of the surrounding mountains.

Al Hor Tent – Outside the resort, Al Hor tent pays tribute to the neighboring villages’ food with its agro-tourism meals. It is open only in summer.

Galler Chocolat - Thé Salon- Savor a genuine Belgian chocolate in this distinctive restaurant located at the ground floor. Much more than simple desserts, this is savory cuisine with chocolate playing the central role. “Chocolate cuisine” is a culinary creation that you can only discover at the Galler.

Le Bar -  Located at the hotel lobby and open 24 hours, Le Bar can seat up to 100 persons and is the casual place to enjoy your favorite drink.

Night Club - Your place for late night entertainment, located in the -1 level. The Night Club can receive up to 250 people. 





RECREATION FACILITIES

InterContinental Mzaar Lebanon Mountain Resort & Spa is a gem of a resort particularly because of the wide range of activities it offers. Indoor activities include squash, billiard, bowling, cinema, heated pool and a fitness center to ensure there is something for everyone to enjoy. Outside, the visitor can choose among a panoply of activities: extreme biking, climbing, hiking, rappel, clay shooting, snowmobile and ATV.

At the end of a long journey, you can indulge yourself with a meditative rest between treatments in one of Les Thermes du Mzaar’s relaxation areas.
