A hotel offers the type of service one would expect from a more expensive property. An ideal choice for those seeking a small hotel with a homely feel, Chateau d'Eau is located in a tranquil spot between Faraya village and the slopes of Ouyoune Al Simane, at only five minutes from each. The hotel enjoys outstanding views over the Faraya valley. Appropriate for individuals, groups and families, this hotel is excellent value for money but having access to a car or taxi would be convenient if you’re planning to circulate in the evening or when not skiing.

+ I liked the staff and the comfort of the hotel.

- Our bathroom in suite 17 smelled. The hotel did not have a restaurant which was very inconvenient especially when the weather got bad and we were stranded at the hotel.

+ The staff at the hotel were absolutely fantastic. They could not do enough for us, especially the children in the party and made us very welcome.

- The hotel and the rooms are in need of some upgrades and the shuttle service could be more frequent and better organised. However the staff management are quite new and seem to be working through these issues and I am sure that these will improve an already very hospitable and friendly hotel.

+ Breakfast, shuttle to slopes, chimney in breakfast room.

- No tea/coffee in room as announced in their website, no restaurant, dirty carpet in room, hair dryer not working, noise because of a school class on holidays. Too expensive for the services provided.

+ Nice construction. Location. Staff made us feel home.

- Looks really old because of the carpet, loose tab in the toilet. Should be cheaper.

+ Friendly staff and the lounge - was nice

- Breakfast was a bit limited in terms of selection. Location was a bit remote to the beginner slopes. i.e. had to take a taxi which added an extra 1 hour to each day + a small US$10 each way cost. Also with no dinner facilities in the hotel, you had to get another taxi in the evening for dinner (although you can order in food to the hotel).
